Parent/Guardian Consent
How parent and legal guardian consent is collected and recorded.
What consent means
For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide informed consent before a student profile can be created in FuturePath Intelligence™. Students age 18 or older can create and manage their own account without parent or guardian consent. This confirms that you understand how the platform works, what information is collected, and your role in verifying all planning and opportunity details.
What we ask you to confirm
During the consent flow, you are asked to confirm that you:
- Are the parent or legal guardian of a student under 18.
- Understand the platform is educational and not a source of official advice.
- Agree to verify deadlines, eligibility, and awards with official sources.
- Consent to the limited collection of student information needed for planning.
- Will supervise student use of the platform if your household chooses to allow it.
How consent is recorded
Consent is recorded in your account with a timestamp and version number. This helps us maintain a clear record and allows you to see when and which version you agreed to.
Withdrawing or updating consent
You can review or update consent settings at any time from the Settings page. If you choose to withdraw consent, student-specific features may become unavailable. You may also contact us at support@theresourceologist.com.
